Beginner’s Digital Photography Workshop (Part 2)

Description

The Beginner’s Digital Photography Course (Part 2) is for those keen to develop the creative side of their photography and improve the sharpness, exposure and impact of their images; both when taking photographs and subsequently when enhancing images on the computer. The Beginners Digital Photography Course (Part 2) is held in our purpose built training studio in the village of Lacock – “the Birthplace of Photography” and is a mixture of tutorials, practical demonstrations and hands on practice with your own camera. There are a maximum of 4 students on each course with a computer workstation running Photoshop Elements or Adobe Lightroom available for each to use to review their images following a photoshoot in the Cloisters and Grounds of Lacock Abbey. To get the most out of the Beginners Digital Photography Course (Part 2), it is recommended that students are able to control depth of field, capture motion and have an understanding of the ISO setting. These skills are taught on our Beginners Digital Photography Course (Part 1). On the course we will cover key camera controls & revision of basic photography techniques including: • Focusing • Metering modes • White balance • Exposure • Histograms & Exposure Compensation • Composition & Colour • Lacock Abbey Photoshoot • Downloading, Reviewing & Editing Images • Review & Questions

• Small class sizes (max 4 people). • Theory session/learning photography basics in Lacock Photography's beautiful photography training school. • Photoshoot in the Cloisters and Grounds of Lacock Abbey, with one to one support from experienced tutor Fiona Turnbull. • Return to purpose built training school to review images in Photoshop Elements or Adobe Lightroom. • If you don’t have a camera – no worries, we can lend you one free of charge! • We ask that you bring your own refreshments and packed lunch along with your camera with memory card, fully charged battery and USB lead if you have one.
