This is an introductory day to beekeeping. The setting is Hawkmoth Wood, part of the Brafferton Spring woodland complex near Helperby. This part of the woodland is being transformed from plantation conifers on an original ancient woodland site to deciduous managed woodland. Most of the conifers had achieved harvesting age and much new planting and habitat restoration is taking place. A lovely and unusual setting for a beekeeping course.
The course is run by David Bowes of Northern Bees Ltd in Boroughbridge. David will cover all elements of beekeeping during the course of the day , the morning will be largely theory followed by lunch, then an opportunity to have hands-on experience in the afternoon.
Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.
