About the Course

Want to try Batik? Here is a fantastic opportunity for an introductory course for people who just love art and want to enjoy the experience of batik painting in a Caribbean influence while relaxing and enjoy listening to Jamaican music getting into the rhythm creating your masterpiece in a relaxing environment.

In this batik painting workshop, you will learn how to use the tjanting tools to draw out the lines of your design. Giving an opportunity to design a Caribbean piece like you have visited the island or maybe you have been and bring back memories.

You will also cover and learn about the different techniques that create special effects to give your project that special something, also explains how to fix and care for your batik painting. Leading to a finished batik painting to take home. A handout of everything you learned in the workshop to take home so to give you the confidence to try and have a go at home so you can create beautiful textiles.

The course takes place in Michelle's home in Southport in Lancashire and we have 4 places to ensure individual attention. Michelle is a mixed Medium Artist using different techniques from silk painting, batik, watercolour & Acrylics to digital painting.

The price includes all materials also includes refreshments and Caribbean lunch your welcome to bring a packed lunch if preferred. Deposit is to be paid for one day courses (£10.00)

Lunch is Jerk chicken & basmati rice or Spicy Salmon fillets and homemade coleslaw
