Course Start DatesSunday 19th January 2020
About the Course
We will cover batik painting and make a picture to frame. Using hot beeswax and adding batik dyes.
This will be a fun creative day where you will learn how to use hot wax as a relief to block out areas of cotton fabric using tjanting tools as well as brushes and sponges etc.
Then we will use the special batik dyes to create your beautiful masterpiece, you will iron out the wax before you take your picture to frame at home.
Your piece of wall-art approx will be 16''x16'' or similar but it could be a different shape and size. You will make A5 samples with various techniques as practice pieces, they also look lovely in a frame or on gift cards.
It will be a brilliant day, you really can't go wrong with batik...happy accidents can be great accidents!
