This basic sewing course will teach you all you need to know about how to sew. From learning about your sewing machine, to creating your own constructed outcome, we will guide you through all stages. This course is suitable for absolute beginners or those with very little prior experience using a machine.
Within this course you will learn the health and safety aspects of using a sewing machine, how to thread and maintain your machine and how to adjust tensions. We will show you how to sew on a variety of fabrics and how to construct basic seams, darts and folds.
The next stage is to choose a project to work on. We can provide a structured project for a fashion outcome, all materials are included. Our tutor will guide you through the stages of constructing your outcome, embellishing and surface decoration.
A great way to refresh forgotten skills or learn from the beginning.
