Introduction to Carpentry with Hand tools

Introduction to Carpentry with Hand tools

On this course, you will learn to make a basic wooden frame using mortice and tenon joints with traditional hand tools. It is important to be numerate as there is measuring involved. Please note this course takes place on 3 alternate Saturdays.

We will be using fast grown softwood for this frame; however, if time permits you can make a similar (but more complex) frame in a hardwood eg. oak or walnut.

Concession fees are available - please see our website for details
