About the Course

Items you will make over the two days - eg, a bearded axe, a full handle, and a tomahawk. You will learn to make using a traditional blacksmith's forge for the tomahawk and bearded axe. You will learn to forge weld the tomahawk and bearded axe. The smithing process is quite fine and not as heavy handed as regular blacksmithing. It is more akin to jewellery making techniques.

This course is run from my home forge which is outside under an all-weather gazebo. Some of the work is also carried out in a utility room/workshop.

Max 2 people. This course runs on a Saturday and Sunday Mondays only.
Courses are run on 2 basis to maximise the day. Over 18s only.
580per person for three days - shorter courses available, please get in touch.
