About the Course

This weekend will give participants the skills and knowledge required for successful nature and landscape photography. With the autumn in full flow we will be getting close to autumn fruits and fungi, experimenting with the camera and making the most of the woodland colour at Margam Country Park.

On the wildlife side we will be following the deer rut and taking a look at some of the techniques required for successful wildlife photography. We will also be visiting woodlands and waterfalls in the Neath Valley. This work will involve blurring the water using slow shutter speeds so a tripod and Wellingtons are essential. Please note that the course is best suited for those with SLR cameras. Digital processing and editing and getting the best from your images on the computer using Photoshop CS3 will be covered in the evening sessions, Course members are encouraged to bring along prints and digital images for showing and comment. There will be an opportunity to review images taken during the course.
