About the Course
Tuesday night course in Basic Cabinet Making taught by Peter Kuh. This course will introduce you to the use and maintenance of a range of cabinetmaking tools and joinery techniques. You will start with a session about the properties of solid timber and manmade boards and the way in which commonly used joints respond to the nature of the materials. The project for the course will be a small toolbox, based on a traditional American toolbox, big enough for a basic set of hand woodworking tools (materials for the box are included in the course fee, but not tools!). We will teach you how to build a range of joints which will be useful in various future furniture and DIY projects. The course is suitable for all skills levels. 6.30pm to 9.30pm. There is a week's break for half-term on this course.
If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above. The voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
What's included in the price?
Hardwood timber (usually tulipwood) is included. And the use of all tools.
