Scrumptious Scone Making Day with Gillian Harris: Seduce your guests with the homely warmth of fresh country baking!
10am to 2.30pm.
This is a lovely Hands On traditional Baking day in the Greystoke Cycle Cafe farmhouse kitchen. Gill has been baking all her life and will teach you all she knows about scone making, sharing her favourite recipes with you and providing all the ingredients. You will start with a basic scone recipe and then move quickly on to make some 2 or 3 further batches of whatever you choose, savory or sweet. Baking will be done using the Cycle Cafe oil fired Aga and a special commercial fan oven we bring in for these classes.
By the end of the day you will have made many scones - enough to take home and stock up your freezer . Next time your guests arrive you'll think nothing of getting your baking pinny on and rustling up a mix and soon you'll be pulling fresh scones from the oven to accompany their cup of tea.
If you wish to receive NEW course programme emails as soon as they are released (a week or so before being put onto various other websites) please use the 'Stay in Touch' icon at the top of each webpage on OUR WEBSITE (link above) to join our database.
