About the Course
Make quality time for yourself and join this enjoyable course for adults on Tuesday evenings. This NEW course is suitable for those who have some experience in drawing and painting and wish to further develop their skills in various media. Advice and guidance will be provided on a one to one basis to meet your individual needs in a fun, relaxed and non-intimidating environment.
If you have been a student on the Art for beginners course previously then this course is perfect for you! There will be a variety of subject matter covered from landscapes, figures and still life with the opportunity to work from your own photographs and found imagery if preferred. We will be exploring a range of drawing, painting and printing techniques using oils, watercolour, acrylic, pastels, charcoal, pen and ink, lino cuts and a combination of these materials to create mixed media artworks.
You can turn any of our courses into a short break by staying in our on site accommodation. When you book a residential package you will get discounted accommodation in our stylish boutique hostel located in the centre of Cirencester in the Cotswolds right next door to New Brewery Arts. Our former 19th Century Cotswold stone brewery barrel store has been beautifully transformed into 21st century accommodation, light and well-appointed with a craftsman’s attention to detail. We offer guest accommodation for up to 43 people over two floors in 14 rooms, with a choice of single, bunk, family and double bedrooms, 12 with en-suite facilities. A ground floor disabled-friendly room is also available. The hostel provides a stylish communal dining and relaxation area, self-catering kitchen, laundry facilities and lockers for your bike. As with all our courses and workshops these are led by experienced tutors and as you will be part of a small group there is plenty of time to focus on you.
