Art and Yoga in the French Loire Valley - 'Breathe, Draw, Gather'
Contact course provider
About the Course
This course is designed to establish a balanced breath, and explore drawing as a means of discovery. The day will begin with a vinyasa yoga class and breath workshop, created to move into an afternoon of drawing. The yoga will prepare for a series of five drawing sessions based on; Observe, Touch, Perspective, Atmosphere and Movement. Each day will conclude with a yoga session.
There will be daily workshops, discussions, and individual guidance, focusing on your own aims. In essence it’s a weeklong opportunity to let your hair down, allowing yourself to indulge in all that is creative, whilst soaking up the French countryside and having a good time with good people! There will also be trips to local markets, chateaux, and vine yards for those who want to come along. To help get those creative juices flowing, here’s a brief low-down on what you can expect to find on your week:
Each morning we will begin with Vinyasa Flow Yoga, and breathing exercises after breakfast. After lunch we can flow into half an hour of meditation in the yurt, a walking meditation, or Yoga Nidra. After a period of rest there will be a two hour drawing workshop each afternoon, each day with a different focus and approach. Finally the day will be finished with more Yoga. What a treat!
Your teacher will be Lissi, who studied at Falmouth School Art where her interest in yoga grew. She completed her Yoga teacher training and has been running regular classes since. Lissi has trained in Teen yoga and has done a foundation course in yoga Nidra. She is continuing to learn in London, focussed on the breath. Lissi teaches all age groups in a variety of settings, sharing her gentle approach both to yoga and creativity.
If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above or telephone us. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.

Having been to the meditation, yoga and art courses at this retreat for the last three years now I cannot recommend it enough. Sam is the dream host and the atmosphere he creates is truly magical, the setting is gorgeous as well, totally peaceful. The teachers have always been wonderful and this teacher is no different. Can't wait!
