This practical course will develop your skills and knowledge to help you produce a unique and diverse art and design portfolio.
The course will enhance your knowledge of the different disciplines within art and design. You will complete projects related to:
- communication design
- decorative arts
- design for performance
- fashion and textiles
- fine art
- product development
- spatial design
- surface decoration
By the end of the course you will have produced multiple sketchbooks and have a portfolio of work which demonstrates your personal approach to each discipline.
There will be sessions dedicated to assessing your development to ensure you are progressing, plus a final portfolio review day.
What will you gain?
The course can help you develop a portfolio for entry on to an undergraduate programme, or it can simply be an opportunity to work in the art school environment on a variety of structured projects. Either way it will encourage you to develop your personal approach to making art and design.
