Come and learn how to use a sewing machine to create beautiful works of art which can be framed or incorporated into other craft projects.Local textile artist Heidi Meier will be taking you through the stages required to create your own ‘Beach Huts’ artwork.
You will learn how to use free-style machine embroidery to create a layered applique artwork. There will be plenty of time to watch and practice techniques to help you achieve your design and opportunities for you to try your own creative flair in a fun and supportive environment.Beginners will learn all the key techniques and more advanced students will get the opportunity to work on more complex design if they wish. Heidi will provide a list of fabrics required and you’ll get to use a template during the sessions to build the basic design. Once finished, the artwork can be framed or used as a panel to incorporate into other craft projects such as cushions or bags.
