About the Course
Learn how applique and do free motion ambroidery. A real hands-on in-depth class which will have you sewing just ten minutes into the class!
I will cover all the techniques and tools you need for this class and you can buy the feet needed from me after the class. I can also recommend where to buy all the other tools and materials.
This class is a great class to take after the beginners class as the sewing will be mostly very free, there will be no seams or measuring at all! You will need to know how to handle a sewing machine for this class.
I've been quilting for 7 years and sell my quilts on Etsy (please search for Handmade by Cheeky), and sewing for almost 40 years. I believe anyone can sew and that sewing should be fun. My classes are small and friendly, and you will get lots of one to one attention. We will be in my dedicated sewing studio in my leafy garden in Walthamstow, East London, a peaceful and creative environment to learn in!
I have been teaching sewing classes at all levels for 7 years, I have a 2 year full time course as well as many city and guilds and online classes under my belt.
All machines and materials are included and you even get to take home a copy of her sewing handbook In Stitches so you don't have to take any notes!
If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above or telephone us. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
What's included in the price?
I have sewing machines for everyone to work on but feel free to bring your own. Just remember the power supply and pedal!
There's not really anywhere to buy lunch other than a corner shop so do bring your own. Also bring any soya milk or special tea if you like although I have lots of herbal and builders tea as well as coffee for us to drink during the day.
I work from my garden studio which has all the machines, threads and over lockers we need. I do have cats so if you are very allergic you may need some antihistamine (which I also have).
Parking is now controlled so be aware of this. I can give you a 5 hour voucher but it's up to you to keep an eye on the time. I am also near buses and not far from the tube and overground.
My studio isn't easily accessible to those with mobility issues as it is down steep ish outside stairs into my garden.
You can contact me on 07944 863932 (daytime only) or via the contact form above.
