About the Course
This is a hand embroidery, slow stitching workshop for all those people who need to escape from their everyday chaotic life for a day and completely lose themselves in this addictive hobby. If you prefer to use a sewing machine, please bring one. All designs and materials will be provided with plenty of examples of stitched seascapes. You will be encouraged to create your own one off piece so feel free to bring any photos of a favourite place you would like to recapture. Stitches can be as complicated as you want to make them but sometimes the simplest ones are the most effective. This is suitable for a complete beginner or the more advanced embroiderer. You will choose from several different types of prepared backgrounds and will embellish your design with buttons, lace and silk fabrics. At the end of the day you will take away a finished piece ready to frame (frames will be available to purchase on the day).
Julie has taught for over 30 years and is a total Stitchaholic!
The Seascape courses are held at Julie's Garden Studio in Birlingham, near Pershore (WR10 3AF) from 10am until 4.00pm. Refreshments will be provided throughout the day but please bring a packed lunch. If coming by train, use Pershore station which is a short taxi ride away. If needing accommodation, please contact me and I will send you a list of local B and B's.
If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above or telephone us. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.

Went with two friends. We all had so much fun. I didn't know I could be so creative. Julie said I could do it despite my reservations, and I did with help from the expert. I am so proud of my lovely seascape picture and delighted with the very positive comments from my family. It will hang in pride of place on the wall. We are now planning which will be our next course at Tigley Textiles. Thanks again Julie.

Loved my creative day! Julie is very inspiring and so helpful. I Came to the course with an idea that i had wanted to make for such a long time but didnt know how to go about it. Julie was able to give me expert advise and show me how to go about it. She has so many wonderful ideas, a huge bank of resources and years of talent. I am still fairly new to sewing so was amazed at how easy Julie makes it all. I am so proud of my picture and could never have envisaged it looking so 'professional.' Thank you Julie. Will definitely be booking again.
