About the Course

This course introduces you to drawing, modelling and digital cameras to create impressive stop motion animated sequences. Working with the added power of Dragonframe software you will bring characters to life, add music and titles, and even make them speak!

The greatest craft skills in animation are undoubtedly drawn and stop motion animation. This course introduces you to the use of computers, hand-drawing and digital cameras to create stop motion animated sequences. You will also learn the principles and history of animation, how to create 2D and 3D puppets and sets, how to plan and create movement, and how to work creatively with sound, light and cameras to create sequences that will impress. Through craft skills and drawing you will have brought animals and characters to life, and even made them speak: this is a most magical form of animation, and far from dead; it is rising in popularity again! If you are not entitled to a reduced fee but are finding it difficult to pay for your course in one go, we can offer a Staged Payment Agreement to split the costs into three payments if your course(s) costs £200 or more.
