About the Course
The perfect art course for animal lovers! Spend 3 inspiring days at historic Flatford Mill, learning to depict animals in art.
Whether you wish to paint your pet or a wild animal, the demands are the same. Please bring suitable good material or work from Carole's photographs. Suitable for beginners and improvers.
Carole Massey is a popular and versatile tutor who is in her 15th year as an Associate Tutor at Flatford Mill in 2017. She has written many books, appears regularly on the Sky Painting Channel (195) and is a Professional Associate of the Society for All Artists.
Bring a friend! If you are attending a course at Flatford Mill at the sole occupancy price, we are offering a special rate for a friend or partner not enrolled on the course to also stay at £50 per night for dinner, bed and breakfast. Please get in touch directly to book this offer.
Flatford Mill lies at the heart of the Dedham Vale, on the banks of the River Stour near the Suffolk-Essex border. The Centre buildings, particularly the Mill and Willy Lott’s House, are instantly recognisable since they feature in many paintings by John Constable. The rich mosaic of lowland landscapes, wildlife habitats and places of historic interest are all reflected in our extensive programme of courses.
The Centre is located between Colchester and Ipswich and is about 10 miles from each, approximately 2 miles from the A12.
