About the Course
This day course can be taken Thursday 30th August, Tuesday 4th September or Saturday 15th September 2018.
If you'd like to learn how to draw and paint birds and animals Laura Andrew has lots of experience and knowledge to share with you!
Laura trained in London, completing her Degree in Natural History illustration, then went on to illustrate numerous wildlife books. Now an established wildlife artist she works and paints from her beautiful Lincoln art studio which overlooks the city's award-winning arboretum.
She invites you to join her in her studio, and by sharing her space and art materials you'll get the true artist's experience.
You may have a favourite bird or animal you'd like to paint - you could even produce a portrait of your pet! You might have a favourite photograph you'd like to recreate in paint...
On this course you can and will, using the medium of your choice such as pencils, inks, acrylic or watercolour.
Laura's groups are kept small so there's plenty of one-to-one guidance. All your art is yours to take home.
This course is suitable for all, and takes place in Laura's art studio in central Lincoln, Lincolnshire.
If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above or telephone us. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.

I had the best day with Laura, having dabbled with a little bit of watercolour, and a little acrylic, and went along to begin to build my skillset, knowledge and approach, and to have some fun. Laura is highly talented, extremely student centred and I felt really encouraged and bold enough to try new things. Lovely feel in the studio, and lunch was tasty with a little indulgence. Excellent value, and I am going back again in a month, treating my sister as I think she will enjoy it too! I thoroughly recommend Laura's course.

I am a complete novice, but Laura worked with me and encouraged me and at the end of a fantastic day I came away feeling very satisfied. This is an excellent course and I have no doubt that with Laura's expert guidance you would gain a lot whether novice or professional. Everything is provided for you to work in wide range of mediums and from the outset you are encouraged to try out techniques, to experiment and to "be brave". It's a wonderful day with an excellent teacher and guide, and represents tremendous value for money, I thoroughly recommend it.
