About the Course

This new 6 week evening course will be a great introduction to pattern weaving...

Both Modern Rigid Heddle and traditional 4 shaft looms will be set up with fine 100% cotton yarns ready for you to experiment on with a range of woven patterns, which will be included in your course pack.

Exploring a variety of different loom threading orders, you can weave Twill, Tabby, Basket and houndstooth, and make a range of sample fabrics in checks, stripes and diamond patterns.

This course will also cover all the basics of reading a pattern draft and the principles of creating a balanced cloth.

Classes are suited to small groups of 6-8 people only, so early booking is recommended. If you are unable to attend for all 6 weeks of the course, but would still like to book a place, alternative time slots can be arranged for you to attend the studio by prior agreement.

If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above or telephone us. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.

What's included in the price?

All equipment and materials are provided along with refreshments, tea/coffee and delicious cake.
