About the Course

If you’re keen to give oil painting a go but are not sure where to start this is the class for you! Our one-day workshop will introduce you to the basics of oil painting for the figure using a simple palette of colours with tuition and 1:1 support from artist Wendy Barratt. All of the materials are included in this course and you will leave the session equipped with all the knowledge you need to go away and paint at home.

Booking is required for this class - you can either book via the link below or in person at the Draw studio. If you book via the website please bring your printed or digital receipt as proof of payment and if you book using the student rate please bring your student ID.

The session starts at 10:30am and you are welcome to arrive from 10:15am - the main doors of New England House will be locked so you'll just need to call the phone number on the door to be let in.

If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.

What's included in the price?

All materials are provided, so you can come to the session unequipped. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be available throughout the session and there will be a lunch break halfway through the day – you are welcome to bring a packed lunch or go out for lunch at a nearby café. Please wear clothing that can be painted in.
