About the Course

During this one day workshop, you will learn the basics of Leatherwork including how to cut and prepare leather using a template, preparing for and using harness needles to stitch as well as how to finish your product to a high standard.

You will make a luggage tag and your choice of either a Coin Purse or Credit Card wallet.

Your tutor for the day will be Stuart Marriott, who having initially trained as a diamond mounter and working for 20+ years in London’s West End Jewellery industry, changed direction entirely. During a trip to the US, Stuart met the renowned saddle maker Monte Beckman, who inspired him to transfer his traditional making skills to leatherwork.

If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above or telephone us. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.

What's included in the price?

Your workshop ticket price of £75.00 includes small group tuition, all materials for 2 projects, 2 sets of harness needles and wax thread for you to keep.

Lunch will be provided along with refreshments throughout the day.
