Amigurumi for Beginners

About the Course
This workshop is for crocheters who are new to the art of amigurumi. If you can double crochet confidently (US single crochet), you have the necessary skills to make a start! The afternoon will include beginning an ami project; crocheting in a spiral; decreasing/increasing; keeping the stitch count correct and stuffing/sewing-up.
You can expect a very warm and friendly class with our tutor, Sarah Lally, who has oodles of patience. She is a very experienced crocheter herself, and a qualified teacher. She will explain fully, and demonstrate to all participants, the amigurumi technique, and will then support each of you to hook your cactus.
We stock the full range of Ricorumi yarn, pattern books and accessories and these will be available for you to purchase if you feel like you'd like to take your next steps and try your hand at a rabbit or a fox, perhaps! You'll need to bring your own hooks, but we also stock Addi Soft Grips which are £3.00 each. As a guide, you'll need a 3mm hook, but might have to go up or down a little, depending on your tension.
If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above or telephone us. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
