About the Course

Amazing Acrylics is a 10 week course  run from The Art Boat Studio at Goyt Mill, Marple.

Each session is 3 hours on a Wednesday, and you can choose from either a morning or an evening session.

Small friendly group.  Workshops are kept to a maximum of 5 students.

Discover the amazing qualities of acrylic paint.  The course will take  you on an your own artistic journey, teaching you how to work with this versatile medium. There will be some guided excercises but the emphasis is on learning how to explore and make choices so that after the course is over you be starting to discover which aspects of Acrylic painting you prefer and want to pursue.

The course will cover:

Basic acrylic techniques

An introduction to colour theory...making colour sing

Acrylic as base for mixed media


Acrylic impasto

Abstract and painting intuitively

An introduction to Still life and landscape
