About the Course

This workshop is based around teaching two main techniques. The first being a continuous line and the second how to monoprint. Through demonstrations and guided activities you will start the day making a simple monoprint and end the day with a more developed print.
At the beginning of the session watch demonstrations by tutor Ruth Allen and produce a simple line drawing monoprint. Then you will move into more detail in terms of introducing collage papers and finally stitch if you wish.

There will be a selection of 1950s imagery for the group to work from. You will select from these and spend the first half either drawing or tracing your designs. These drawing or tracings will then be used to begin your own initial monoprints. The design will gradually develop over the afternoon. By the end of the day you Each particpant will have a mount which will then be used to frame a final outcome.

If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above or telephone us. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
