Advanced free motion embroidery / free machine embroidery

This free machine embroidery workshop is for those who have already had experience of free motion embroidery and would love to really develop and push those skills further. You may have come along to the beginners and intermediate courses we hold or you may have learnt elsewhere - you will need to know how to set up your machine independently and have already completed some work prior to this workshop.

The morning will move through creating a selection of samples to further your skills and to inspire future artwork including embroidery on more tricky fabrics, metal and creating layers of embroidery through paper patchwork and more. There will be a quick recap on how to transfer a design before breaking for lunch.

After the lunch break you will create your own free motion project - with full help and guidance from your tutor, Louise. By the end of the workshop you will leave with your set of samples, learnt a new range of skills as well as created your own piece of artwork.

Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.

What's included in the price?

All materials are provided, although you will need to bring your own sewing machine and bobbins to fit your machine as well as a free motion foot. Free, unrestricted parking is available on Dundas Street West and we're happy to help carry machines in from the car.

The workshop runs from 10-3 with a break for lunch. Refreshments are provided, however you will need to bring your lunch or buy it from one of the many cafes and takeaways nearby.
