Acrylic Jewellery Weekend Workshop - 19th & 20th Aug - 10am-4pm £160.00
Bent & Forged workshop introduced you to the art of embedding resin, and acrylic sheet jewellery.
On the Saturday morning we will introduce you to the many different ways embedding resin, and acrylic sheet can be used to make beautiful jewellery. From health and safety, to moulds, and cold connection.
In the afternoon you will progress on to working with your embedding resin projects, learning to mixing, use moulds, add pigmentation, and embedding items. This learning process is quite experimental, so please feel free to bring some objects with you. You can use buttons, flowers, leaves, material, pretty much anything, so have a rummage for some little object to encase in your resin.
Please note that due to the curing time, you will finish these pieces on the Sunday.
Sunday morning you will be introduced to working with acrylic sheet, and learn how to transform it into beautiful jewellery. Using a combination of materials such as copper, and silver, and some basic jewellery making techniques, we will guide you through the process of making your acrylic jewellery pieces, ready to wear when you leave.
In the afternoon you will progress onto finishing your embedded resin casting projects such as bangles, pendants, rings etc. This may in may involve drilling holes, sanding, polishing, etc.
What's included in the price?
All materials apart from silver are included in the workshop. Silver will be available to buy on the day.
