About the Course
This diploma is delivered in strategic partnership with the University of the Arts: London College of Fashion and Ravensbourne, and is for people who intend to progress to university to study for a degree in Fashion. This course will prepare you for university study while developing your skills in fashion design, garment construction, pattern cutting, drawing, textiles, digital imaging and photography. You will also have the opportunity to create fully realised garments from your won original designs to be presented in our Annual Catwalk Show.
The coursework is designed to help you create a portfolio in support of your applications and we will help prepare you for interviews in order to secure your place at university or progress onto Morley College's Fashion HND with BA (Hons) Top-Up. Successful graduates from Access to HE: Fashion have been accepted onto top fashion programmes including London College of Fashion, Ravensbourne, Central Saint Martins and Middlesex for the following university pathways:

You will have the opportunity to learn a range of techniques in our well-equipped fashion, drawing, photography and textile studios. Feedback in the form of group discussions, personal tutor feedback and written assessments will help guide you as you progress towards achieving your goals. In order to ensure that you make the best possible progress on your course, you will have regular and detailed feedback from your tutor, in a constructive and supportive environment.

In order to participate on this course, you must have an enthusiasm for fashion and present a portfolio of work for evaluation at your interview. Previous experience in drawing and basic computer skills are required. Sewing or pattern cutting is helpful but not essential.
If you are interested in gaining some experience or developing a portfolio before completing an application, you may wish to enrol on one of our Fashion short courses in clothes making, fashion design and portfolio, or pattern cutting offered here at Morley College London.
