About the Course
This class is tailor-made for absolute beginners to help you conquer the sewing machine, but also for those who have some sewing experience but would like to know how to adjust the tension on their sewing machine, and the general maintenance of it.
In this course you will learn not only how to sew but also how to look after your sewing machine, which needle to use for different fabrics, button holes, zip insertions and many more things. At the end of the course you will be more confident with your sewing and will have completed a small project.
Develop your making skills and confidence in a small group in a creative setting with a knowledgeable teacher.
This is a two-hour course on Monday evening 7pm to 9pm for two consecutive weeks
85 East Street Southampton (next to Nicks restaurant opp Debenhams)
This workshop is suitable for complete beginners.
If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above or telephone us. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
What's included in the price?
There are sewing machines to use on the course but if you have your own machine that you would like to bring along (it can be very useful to learn on your own machine), please feel free and let us know in advance of the class so we can check it out. Classes are kept small to ensure everyone gets the assistance they need, although this does mean that spaces may fill up fast!
Tea, coffee and cake are free flowing throughout the class and you will be given a set of notes to take home with you. Materials are included but you are welcome to bring along your own fabric if you wish.
