This 3 day course introduces you to different aspects of working through design into textile media. It also introduces you to the systems of working which the tutors at Stitched Up and Fleeced Studio use in order to achieve fantastic results on their longer courses.
The lead tutor for the course is Sue Lancaster, a textiles tutor with 40 years experience following a Degree in Stitched Textiles from Loughborough and teaching training at Leicester School of Art Education. Sue specialises in machine embroidery for her own work but also often adds in many other techniques. After teaching for many years in schools and colleges Sue opened her own studio in 2005 and has taught many students up to City & Guilds Diploma level and beyond into Professional status. Jude Shore, previously one of Sue's very successful students, will assist Sue and also lead the Felt Making and Needle Felting parts of the course.

Day 2: Texture - Explorations of surface; wet felt making and dry needle felting, including using an Embellisher machine.

The course will be suitable for beginners and also people with some experience.
