This is an intensive 2 day Traditional Upholstery course based in North London. £280 for 2 days including lunch and snacks.
Bring your own piece of furniture to work on over the course as well as the top fabric. You can buy any upholstery materials needed to complete your project in the quantities you need (eg calico, horse hair, hessian, wadding, webbing)
If you do not have a piece of furniture then you can buy one of the footstools £90 - £110 which includes all the materials required to build the layers.
The weekend is scheduled for you to be able to complete a chair with a traditionally upholstered chair seat. A chair with a back and/or arms will take longer than a weekend.
Since you will be on your feet for the entire weekend, comfortable sturdy shoes and clothes are a must.
The weekend is designed to be fun yet give you the necessary skills you have to leave and tackle projects in your homes.
There is parking right outside.
There is a maximum of 3 students on the weekend courses.
What's included in the price?
All tools are available for you to use while you are here so you only need to bring your furniture and top fabric for your project with you.
Tea, coffee, biscuits and fruit are offered all day.
Lunch is provided on each day of the course.
All sundry workshop supplies are included in the cost (tacks, glue and twine).
You can buy any upholstery materials needed to complete your project in the quantities you need (eg calico, horse hair, hessian, wadding, webbing)
You are also welcome to bring your own upholstery supplies and tools with you if you already have a supplier.
