About the Course
Leaded Stained Glass Panels
On this practical workshop you will design and make your own panel of leaded stained glass to take home and display.
We offer a choice of patterns and a large selection of gorgeous coloured and textured glass to choose from.
I offer two very different types of stained glass workshop:
Tiffany Style/Copper Foil method
This refers to stained glass work in the style of Louis Comfort Tiffany where each piece of glass is wrapped in copper foil before being soldered together. This method is generally used for making gifts and smaller pieces such as sun-catchers.
Traditional Lead - Panels or Stained Glass Windows
In these classes we use the centuries old method which has hardly changed since the 12th century. A panel or window consists of pieces of coloured glass held together strips of lead came which is then soldered at the joins and finally cemented to create a weatherproof window.

Thanks to Gigha for the help and encouragement on her leaded light window course. There was a lot to fit into the day and luckily we could overrun on time as some of us took longer than others, but you stayed calm and tried to help as much as possible.
We were also very well looked after by your helper who cheerfully provided us with refreshments throughout the day and was very encouraging too!
A very enjoyable day!
Sue Sparkes - - #8964
I have now been on two of Gigha's courses - one for Tiffany glass making Christmas decorations and the other for stained glass lead panels. Both days were brilliant, I learnt new skills on each day, found it to be a challenge but enjoyable. Gigha's instruction is excellent - she's very experienced with stained glass and has a really nice way of teaching people. The lunch is good too and the location is beautiful. Thanks Gigha, I will hopefully be back!
Cat Oliver - - #8880
Great course as a novice. Gigha was very caring and responsive. I would certainly attend again. Well done & thank you!
Prof Chris Oliver - - #8874
