2-day paper patchwork dresses with Jennifer Collier

Day one: Paper patchwork pockets and pleats. A sampler’s workshop with a difference, as all the traditional embroidery techniques will be created using paper. Showing a range of patchworking techniques, such as cathedral squares, pleating, covered buttons, button loop, covered bindings and patch pockets all made using beautiful vintage papers.

Day two: Paper dresses. The paper patchworking techniques learnt in the first day of this workshop will be used to create small paper dresses. Jennifer will talk you through every part of the process, and you will have a choice of different pockets and collars to really personalise your dress. You will also be shown a range of traditional hand stitches, such as cross stitch, running stitch, backstitch, blanket stitch, Jennifer's trademark picot stitch and a beautifully intricate Venetian needle lace stitch to further embellish your dress. You will also make a clear plastic hanger to suspend your dress from.

Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.
