About the Course
A 1 day Basic woodworking course in a beautiful location in the heart of the Surrey Hills. The main purpose of this course is to develop essential hand skills and give a good understanding of the woodworking principles
Students will cover:
-Guidance on buying woodworking tools
-Hand tool selection and maintenance
-Sharpening and tuning of hand planes
-Using hand planes
-Achieving flat, straight and square with a plane
-Hand saws and sawing straight
-Building confidence in the use of hand tools with some basic joints
This course is aimed at the complete beginner.

A copy of The Complete Woodworkers Manual RRP £ 30
Teaching hours are 9 am to 5 pm with a short break for lunch to enable students to gain the maximum amount from their time in the workshops.
Tea, coffee and cakes will be provided. Students are requested to bring their own packed lunch.
