About the Course
You will spend a full day learning about the fascinating art of glass fusing with Beverley, in her studio.
Beverley will explain the principles behind fusing glass in a kiln to create different effects and textures, showing you examples of what's possible and helping you to design your own fused glass items. She will demonstrate the correct use of all tools and equipment and make sure everyone knows how to handle the glass safely, before you embark on your creative adventure.
Each course is limited to just 4 students, to ensure maximum support and attention You can expect to make at least 2 or 3 items and you will have access to a wide variety of materials. Students usually start off with something small and straight-forward like a coaster or a sun catcher, so that everyone can practice their basic skills, then progress to bigger projects like dishes, self-standing totems and wall plaques or small panels for framing.
The main aim of this course is to have fun learning a new skill - it's a very relaxed and supportive environment and even the least 'arty' people find their inner creativity when they are given the time and encouragement to express themselves in glass!
Beverley's studio is within easy access of the M20 and M2 motorways and less than a 10 minute walk from a bus stop on a route that can be accessed from Chatham Station. Please ask for details.

What more can I say except that Bev is an inspirational person, filled with boundless enthusiasm and love for her craft. Warning her enthusiasm and love for glass making is infectious.
I was lucky enough to be given a glass fusing day as a gift and I loved every minute of it. You won’t meet a more generous, kindhearted & friendly artist. I was lucky enough to make a bespoke Robin Totem & glass serving platter. A gift that I will treasure forever x
During the course you will be guided through the glass art process & Bev allows you to be as hands on and independent as you want to be, but is always on hand to help & guide you. All you need is an idea in your head & Bev will help you nuture it in order to create something truly magical. Xx

Response from Beverley Bunn Glass Art:Thank you Sharon for such a lovely review! You did amazing on your glass fusing day and your pieces were beautiful - you are welcome back any time x Bev
I first attended one of Beverley’s workshops a couple of years ago. I was a bit apprehensive about going on my own, thinking others would be there with friends, and also I’m not arty at all. The workshop was friendly and welcoming. At this workshop I made a small dish, a suncatcher and a coaster. I’ve always loved fused glass and wanted to give it a go. I’m due to attend another workshop with Beverley in a couple of days. I would recommend these workshops to anyone wanting to try a new skill.

Response from Beverley Bunn Glass Art:Thank you for your kind review Ann. I'm so pleased you are now really finding your feet with your glass fusing and it was lovely to have you back for a bespoke skills day too. Look forward to seeing your freeze & fuse projects!
I had a brilliant day at Bev's glass fusing course. After purchasing a few Christmas pieces myself from Bev in the past as well as commissioning Bev for a fairly large glass centrepiece which has pride of place in our bathroom, I thought I would love to have a go myself. Bev was an excellent tutor and very patient with us complete beginners. I had to stay behind at the end of the day to finish my work (just like school, I was chatting too much!) and I could not wait for my 2 pieces of glass work to be fired in the kiln. It was really thrilling to see how it looked. I made an emerald green (with sparkly bits) cheese platter and a cream and berry coloured curved small dish.
It was more difficult than I thought it would be, but totally fascinating and the time flew by. I'd love to do another session!

Response from Beverley Bunn Glass Art:I love it when a customer gets the glass bug and wants to learn to fuse themselves! Thank you Nikki for your lovely feedback - it was great to have you in the studio and you're welcome back any time!
I attended the glass fusing day course with a couple of friends and we had a fabulous time. Bev is a natural teacher who guides you to make fantastic works or art but she also gives you free reign to explore your inner artist. I made a glass totem with a matching bowl which I’m very proud to say people often ask me where I have bought them! Thoroughly recommend this course, you will leave with more than you came with.

Response from Beverley Bunn Glass Art:Thanks so much for that lovely review! So nice to hear you enjoyed your class - you certainly made some beautiful pieces - not surprised your friends were impressed, you did great!!
My mum and I had a wonderful day on the Beginner's course with Beverley. Both of us were brand new to glass fusing and what we were impressed by was how Beverley explained the science behind it in such a fun way.
We were able to be very creative, both making three pieces each. We were incredibly impressed with the results and I'm looking forward to booking myself on an improver's course.
It was a really enjoyable and artistic day and I'd recommend it to all.

Response from Beverley Bunn Glass Art:Thank you Claire! It was lovely to meet you and your mum - so pleased you both enjoyed yourselves and even the 'science bit' was fun lol You both did amazingly well considering you'd never picked up a glass cutter before!
What a great experience! Not only can you make beautiful items but you are in the hands of a true expert who helps you all the way. From complete beginner you can create your own, on-off masterpiece. Great guidance and training. There are some good idea prompters for those, like me, who weren't sure where to start. These are small classes and you really get a great deal of help and support but it is your work. I've attended two courses now. They are great fun as well as very rewarding. If you feel creative, give it a go! Bev is brilliant!

Response from Beverley Bunn Glass Art:Thanks Jayne, I'm glad you had a lovely time - well I guess you wouldn't have come back otherwise lol! I told you it's addictive!
If you thinking about doing a glass fusing course you could find no one better than Bev to start you off. Bev is a wonderful lady, so friendly and who will put you at ease whilst working with the glass to make exciting beautiful glass artwork. I’ve been very lucky to attend two of her workshops and enjoyed every minute. This course comes highly recommended. 👍
